4A India Earthquake Disaster Relief Fundraising in Colorado

Mountain States Chapter Partners with Governor's Asian Pacific American Advisory Council and India Association of Colorado

Denver area Asian Community leaders gathered on the evening of March 11, 2001, at a fundraising dinner held for the January earthquake in the Gujarat region of India. The event was organized by 4A-AT&T Mountain States Chapter in partnership with the Governor's Asian Pacific American Advisory Council and India Association of Colorado. 4A hosts and planners included Giselle Rushford, chapter president, Mary Lou Petersen, chapter treasurer, Purnima Voria and Carolynne Sciba.

AT&T Broadband, represented by Bob Willis, Vice President of Constituent Relations, presented a check for $2500. In all, donations and pledges totaled almost $7000, which after expenses went to the International Red Cross India Relief Fund.
