Recipients of the 2002 4A National Scholarships

[August 5, 2002] 4A at AT&T is pleased to announce this year's recipients of the 4A National Scholarships. In addition to their high academic achievements, these six students demonstrate the principles which guide 4A — personal achievement, community involvement and contribution to the Asian/Pacific American community. They will be recognized at the 4A 2002 Community Awards being held on September 27th in New Jersey.

The recipients are:

Grace Liu, Kapolei, Hawaii (University of Hawaii at Manoa)
Nguyen Pham, Kansas City, Missouri (University of Missouri-Kansas City)
Rachel Quizon, Norwalk, California (University of California-San Diego)
Sachin Mysore Shivaram, Mequon, Michigan (Harvard University)
Benjamin Wong, Monterey Park, California (University of California-San Diego)

The 4A National Scholarship Program provides a linkage between local 4A chapters and colleges and universities across the country to focus on continuous development and attainment of higher education goals. Candidates are nominated from each chapter, with final selection performed by the 4A National Scholarship Committee.
