Arizona Chapter's First Chinese New Year Banquet

[February 28, 2003]

The Asian/Pacific American Association for Advancement (4A) at AT&T, Arizona Chapter, held its first Chinese New Year Banquet on Sunday, Feb 2, 2003 at the Sampan Restaurant. Among the keynote and guest speakers of the evening were Ronnie Sebastian (President of 4A Arizona), Garry Ong (Commissioner of Asian American and Pacific Islanders Advisory Commission), Ramesh Bapat (President of Honeywell Asian Network -- "HAN"), and Julie Haw (President of American Express Asian Network).

The banquet introduced 4A at AT&T to the community, and at the same time informed the public of the Chinese culture. Several community organizations, AT&T's Business Resource Groups (diversity organizations) and other companies' diversity groups attended the occasion. Proceeds of the banquet are going to the Apache Junction Public Library.
